Young-su lived freely in Seoul, but when he caught liver cirrhosis his
business and love affairs went down hill. There's nothing for him to
rely on in Seoul anymore so he leaves the city and heads for a
sanitorium in the countryside.
The sanitorium is a strange
place for him to adapt to, but he later meets Eun-hee there, who is
suffering from a critical lung disease but lives cheerfully without
showing any of her pain. She curiously approaches Young-su while he
begins to conjure up feelings for her. They fall in love with each other
and begin to live togther in a small empty house. Although they're
poor, they spend happy moments together.
